Hello everyone. I have looked up several floral shops in the chapel hill and carrboro area. These are the ones that I figured would be most receptive to us (by viewing their websites and reading their reviews), or at least consider what we have to say.

1. University Florist and Gift shop
124 E. Franklin St
2. Chapel Hill Florist
200 W. Franklin St.
3. Purple Puddle Flowers
400 S. Elliott Rd
4. Victoria Park Florist
1129 Weaver Dairy Rd.
5. Bloom Where you are Planted
708 Market St.

Let me know what you think.

Hey group, I looked up some Tea Shops that we could start with in Chapel Hill on Franklin St and some in Carrboro. Although some of these (Starbucks or Caribou) might not be receptive to what we have to say, we could save those for later.

Three Cups‎
431 W Franklin St # 15, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 968-8993

La Vita Dolce LLC‎
610 Market St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 968-1635

That Coffee Place‎
2805 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 960-6247

Starbucks‎
103 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 932-3824‎

Caffe Driade‎
1215 E Franklin St # A, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 942-2333

Carolina Coffee Shop‎
138 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 942-6875

Open Eye Cafe‎
101 S Greensboro St, Carrboro, NC‎ - (919) 968-9410

Jack Sprat Cafe‎
161 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 933-357

Caribou Coffee‎
1408 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 968-3735

Chill Bubble Tea‎
145 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC‎ - (919) 338-2472

Hopefully this is a good starting point.

Hi all.

I live out by airport rd and can go to the shops on weaver dairy. I believe that it has a couple of coffee shops and a florist. I will reply to the blog again once I have a finalized list. If you want to join, let me know. Maybe having more than one person will be beneficial some how.

Nilima, We'll meet next Monday at 5 pm. We should go to the merchants that are not on Franklin st. I was thinking maybe meadowmont, University mall, Weaver Dairy Rd, Eastgate, etc?

We should then check back with them on Tuesday, Wednesday, and the following Monday. Does that sound OK?

Oren,

I think that sounds perfect. I think Ian and Casey are going to take care of Franklin Street and Carrboro.

Where should we meet on Monday?

I have all the flyers from Marshall so I will bring those with me and we can pass them out to the businesses that we visit.

Nilima,

That is a great idea! If anyone wants to join, please let us know. How about 5:30 pm in front of the old well?

Sounds exciting!

Hey Casey and Ian, just let me know which floral shops you guys are visiting so that I do not visit the same shops that you have already been to. I am not visiting any shops until thursday, so just let me know before then if you can.

This has info on programs these growers have created with their fair trade prices

Hello wonderful group,

Sorry to be difficult but tomorrow I can only go between 4-5, Thursday from before 11 or 11 50-12 50 or 2-3, or Friday before 11. That's probably not going to work for you guys but I can always go with someone next week if they are still willing.

Hey Ian,

I just have to run a quick errand at 12, but I can definitely meet you at Starbucks around 12:30. Are we going to go out to florists or just discuss a game plan by the way? Should I bring some flyers and brochures if i can get my hands on them?

Nat
